The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie two Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions to your community.
SASSA are going to be rendering companies including new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, and also the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a press release, the agency said it truly is alarmed with regards to the significant number of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The aim with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to some substantial range of clients/beneficiaries to sassa access SASSA services.
“That is mainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no totally functional office dedicated to service the area on a regular basis. The company level made for intervention ordeals a high inflow of potential beneficiaries, that makes it tricky to the Workplace to attend to all people who take a look at a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise extra means to help the servicing of all customers and increase entry to Social Assistance providers,” the agency said.
